Skandi style

The Scandinavian style has many similarities with previously mentioned Japandi style, since Japandi was created as a fusion of the Japanese and Scandinavian styles. I think that this great finding of each other is not accidental as the Japanese way of thinking means same in the East than the Scandinavian here in Europe. So they have a lot in common, but there are a few differences in approach, which are also reflected in the design....I'll describe one here: In the Japanese style, the picture of your loved ones is displayed in 1 very special place in your home while in the Scandi style you have photo about all your relatives anywhere in the house😊
But seriously I will describe differences by the help of next question.

When should I choose the Scandi style for my home?
1)Consider use of colors you like. The Scandi style works with restrained and light colors.
2)How much do you like textiles in your home? In Japanese thinking, peace comes from quietness and space. In the Nordic world of thought, It comes from hygge. This is a kind of combination of warmth, happiness, comfort, which also appears in the design. Hygge is in my own interpretation, the soul-warming home. Part of this feeling is the fireplace, candles, and use of warm textiles.
3)How much packing space do you need? Japanese functionality prioritizes space and considers whether your desired object is necessary. It is because in Japanese style there is order inside and outside too. Practicality is a bit more permissive in Scandi style. You should have as much stuff as you need, but your individuality is accepted. In other words, practicality means that everything falls to hand, while avoiding crowding.
