Contemporary Style

I wanted to write about Japanese wabi-sabi style…..and THEN I saw a new collection of my favorite designer…….

What really makes this style to be lovely? It is that contemporary style highlights the personality of the home's occupants extremely well. You can boldly use colors, an old piece, but it still radiates infinite elegance and practicality. Glamorous, but not kitschy. Colorful, but not too variegated. Functional, but not brittle.This home is a wonderful example of that.

...and what about my favorite designer....

Marcel Wanders is my favorite designer:) representing  this style.

In Marcel Wanders' design I can’t enough admire the endless respect of past. It is so noticeable. He still preserves object’s old story’s while completely reshaping and creatively reinterpretation of it. Sustainability, functionality and spectacle appear in his works together with grace and clarity. I'm sure this outdoor furniture will be iconic too.

As an interior decorator, I would also emphasize that you should definitely think about quality furniture for outdoor spaces due to UV radiation and moisture damage.
